Room.C maintains professional media contact information so it can identify relevant journalists for client campaigns, send appropriate press information, respond to media enquiries, coordinate interviews, and maintain accurate records of professional correspondence and opt-out requests.

This may include your name, publication or professional affiliation, work contact details, country or region, publicly stated coverage interests, relevant professional correspondence, pitch history, and communication preferences.
Where the information comes from
Information may be supplied directly by you, obtained through professional correspondence, publication websites, public bylines or professional profiles, or other publicly available professional sources.
How it is used
Where Room.C contacts media professionals in a professional capacity, the information is used for relevant media-relations activity and record keeping. Where you actively join the Room.C media list, your stated preferences and signup record are used to send the categories of information you requested.
Opting out and suppression
You can ask Room.C to stop sending press information at any time. Room.C may retain a minimal suppression record after an opt-out so that your preference can be respected and you are not accidentally re-added later.
Sharing and processors
Professional contact information may be processed using services Room.C uses for email, file storage, website hosting, contact management, and campaign administration. Room.C does not sell journalist contact information.
Retention and your rights
Media records are reviewed and should be updated or removed when they are no longer relevant, subject to retaining necessary suppression information. You can contact Room.C to ask about information held about you or to exercise applicable data-protection rights.
